2017 Frisian at Leeuwarden AB

From 27 March until 7 April 2017 the yearly multi-national exercise Frisian Flag took place at Leeuwarden AB in the Netherlands. During two weeks over 60 aircraft from seven nations and over 1600 military personel gathered for one of the largest live-flying exercises in Europe, flying two missions per day over the North Sea, Danish, German and Dutch aerospace.

For the third consecutive time the USAF participated with F-15 Eagle aircraft this year from the Florida and Louisiana Air National Guard.
