2016 Farnborough International Airshow

Updated: Feb 3, 2018

For decades Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) has been the scene where the international entrepreneurs of military and civilian aviation meet each other. Every two-year Farnborough Airport near London houses this event. FIA is one of three big events that can be compared with each other. The other two events are the ILA in Berlin and the Paris Airshow. Northern Skies aviation visited three Dutch aviation companies participating at FIA 2016.

The first companies they met was Aeronamic, which produces the forward module APU for Lockheed Martins F-35.

A US Marines F-35B from VMFAT-501 Beaufort performed a stunning air display. It was the first time the F-35 could be seen in the UK.

The second Dutch company was Sun Test Systems. They are well known for the manufacture of aerospace test equipment including multifunction ground support equipment. The last in row was Dutch Aero/KMWE that is a dedicated and experienced supplier to the aerospace industry.
